SPEED UP YOUR PC - III

USING VIRTUAL RAM

This step is almost difficult.But improves your PC speed by many folds. Just follow these not-so-simple steps. :P

 STEP 1 : Right -click on Computer and Select Properties

STEP 2 : Click on Advanced System Settings

STEP 3 :  Click on "Advanced" tab.

STEP 4: Click on Settings in Performance Menu

STEP 5 : Again Click on "Advanced' Tab and then Click on "Change"

STEP 6: Click on the Driver you want to use space as Virtual Ram

STEP 7: Click on "Custom Size" and fill the amount of space you want to use as Virtual RAM.

STEP 8: Click on "Set" and then OK

STEP 9 : Restart your PC .

USE DISK CLEAN UP:

This is a fairly simple step and speeds up is by using Disk Cleanup. just follow the steps.

• STEP 1: Go to Computer

STEP 2: Right Click on the drive you want to "Clean Up" and select Properties from the drop down list .

STEP 3 : Select Disk Cleanup from the General Tab

STEP 4: Wait for the Analysis to complete.

STEP 5: Windows analyzer will tell you how much disk space can be cleaned up by the operation. Press on OK to continue.

This will automatically clean up your disk and boost your PC performance. You can repeat this procedure for all other drives as well.

Defragment Your HDD( Hard Disks Drive)  

This step guarantees peak performance of your machine and this is probably the easiest. In the maintenance of file systems, defragmentation is a process that reduces the amount of fragmentation. It does this by physically organizing the contents of the mass storage device used to store files into the smallest number of contiguous regions (fragments). It also attempts to create larger regions of free space using compaction to impede the return of fragmentation. Some defragmentation utilities try to keep smaller files within a single directory together, as they are often accessed in sequence.

Step 1: Go to "Start" and search for " Disk Defragmenter".

Step 2:Open Disk Defragmenter

Step 3: Click on "Analyze Disk".

Step 4 : Wait for analyzation to finish and then click on "Defragment Disk". This window opens

Step 5: Wait for defragmentation to complete and then enjoy a faster PC.
